John W. Busby
August 6, 1945 – May 2, 2022
After two years of compassionate care from the staff at the Newport Harbour Care Centre, John passed away peacefully from Parkinson’s disease on Monday, May 2, 2022.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Linda; son, Andrew (Coleen); daughter, Laura (Dave); son, Daniel (Maureen); as well as his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
John loved his family, friends, church, and music. He enjoyed being involved with the community and retired after 41 years as an accountant. John had a generous heart and devoted many hours volunteering with his musical talents at retirement homes, clubs, and old-time dances. He played guitar with many different bands and enjoyed mentoring and supporting young musicians. He also loved vanilla ice cream, bike riding, quilting for charities, and playing cards with friends.
