Obituary for Helen Diana Villalta

Helen Villalta
April 7th, 1998 - Tuesday, May 31st, 2022

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Helen Villalta on Tuesday, May 31st, 2022 at the age of 24.

Helen was the beloved daughter of Carlos Villalta and Ngoc Vuong. Carlos and Helen had a bond that started even before Helen was born. Ngoc recalls when she was about 8 months pregnant with Helen, when she would lay on her side, she could feel Helen turning over to either the left or the right as she could feel that her father was there.

When Helen was born, she was so red in color that her nickname was little lobster girl. From the age of 3 years old, Helen would run around daddy looking for his help, his care or just his attention. As a little girl, she loved the Teletubbies TV show, and Ngoc would have to run all over town just to find tapes or she would have to record the TV for Helen to watch over and over again.

Helen’s love for fashion started as a young girl as she loved to dress up as a ballerina and dance around. She also loved singing.

When Helen’s brother Ethan was born, Helen was so excited and couldn’t wait to go to the hospital to meet him, because she knew that from that day forward, she was going to be a big sister. The bond they had throughout the years was unbreakable.

Dear God, please take care of our little girl.
The one with big eyes and soft black hair.
She was special as you should know.
We really don't want to let her go.

She touched the hearts of everyone she knew.
Letting her go is one of the hard things we have to do
Her smile could brighten up the darkest room.
We wish you didn't have to take her so soon.

Could we sit and rock her and read her a story?
She is probably afraid; please tell her don't be anymore.
Tell her we love her so much and wish we could be there
But it won't be for many more years

She loves to sing all kinds of songs
Please tell her that she did no wrong.
Would we comfort her and hold her in our arms tight?
And tell her we missed her everyday and night

Please tell her she is love so very dear,
Her dad always says it every day for her to hear.
Her short life on this earth is now completed
Wished her soul forever be in peace.

Tell her we promise to see her again someday
When that will be, we really can't say.
We promised to make up for the time that passed.
To hold her and comfort her in our arms at last.

Love Forever...Mom & Dad!

When Helen was in her teens, she was blessed to become a part of the Wutzke crew, where they had the pleasure of getting to know Helen (or Dani as she preferred to be called).

Dani and the Wutzke’s youngest daughter Jaelyn went to high school together where the music teacher had connected them as Dani needed a piano accompanist for a musical tryout. They became friends and since Dani needed a place to stay she was welcomed in to the Wutzke family.

Dani very quickly became one of the family and they felt so blessed to have her with them. When she first moved in, she was very quiet and shy and spent a lot of time in her room. It didn’t take long for her to break out of her shell into this most amazing outgoing fun-loving young person. No longer did she spend time couped up in her room!

Over the past seven years, Dani became such an important part of the Wutzke family, who have many fond memories of extended family gatherings, carving pumpkins, coloring easter eggs and hiding them for her and their other children to find, many hikes and looking for treasures, many family games of dice and other favorites, and many, many wonderful conversations about anything and everything.

She was always willing to help out and give of her time freely. She was usually the first to wish Mama Janneane a happy Mother’s Day or happy birthday. She would often just come home with flowers for Janneane.

After she moved into her own place, Helen would often just show up to to say hi to Janneane, or come spend the night where they would watch their favorite programs together.

She called Janneane regularly just to chat and of course whenever she needed to talk about something.
Janneane ran a farmers’ market, and Helen would show up almost every market day without ever being asked to volunteer and spend time together. Helen worked with Janneane and several of her Wutzke siblings at Screamfest and was always willing to lend a hand and most certainly went above and beyond to help or give back wherever and whenever she could. She could bring any character to life and was a superstar.

“Helen was always smiling and laughing. She was such a bright light to all those who knew her. Although her light on this earth may be gone too soon, her spirit and inner light will live on with us and all the memories we were able to form with her. We consider our time with her a true blessing. We and our family will love her forever and always.” Love The Wutzke Family.

Helen will be forever loved and remembered by her father Carlos; mother Ngoc; and brother Ethan. She will be dearly missed by her chosen family Janneane & and Brad Wutzke and her siblings Jaelyn, Jevin, David and Jory. Her memory will be forever cherished by her beloved coworkers from Sephora where she worked almost seven years; and by her church family at Centre Street Church where she was baptized and Village Church where she was a regular attendant.

A Celebration of Helen’s Life will be held at Choice Memorial (105 – 4715 13th Street NE) on Sunday, June 12, 2022 from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm with a service and tributes starting at 3:00 pm.
