Obituary for Helen Ella Jensen (Iles)
It is with deep and overwhelming sadness that we announce the loss of Helen Ella Jensen (Iles) who passed peacefully on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at the age of 91.
Born in Kindersley, Saskatchewan, she moved to Calgary and resided in Bowness along the Bow River for many years. She spent 55 years with the love of her life Kai whom she worked alongside running businesses and raising their 8 children. Helen was a devoted wife, thoughtful friend, kind and generous woman but most of all an exceptionally loving mother and always there whenever you needed. She looked forward to the visits from her family, especially the grandchildren, where she would sit on the couch and listen to their adventures, telling them about the good old days and offering all kinds of advice.
Helen will be lovingly remembered for her fun personality, sharp wit, generous heart, and will be greatly missed by her children, Donna, Cheryl, Cheryl-Lee (Daryl), Brian (Erin), Maria (Mike), and Kaj; her 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Kai; sons, Daniel and Jan; and her brother, Talbot.
