Harold was the beloved son of Ruth Idsinga and stepfather, Samuel "Sam" Idsinga, both of Andrew, Alberta. He is survived by his devoted brother, Richard (Rick) Idsinga, and Rick's partner, Tami Matte, all of Andrew, Alberta. Together, they formed a close-knit family that celebrated the bonds of kinship.

A father to Breanna Kaylee Emeny, with Jill Guse, Harold embraced the responsibilities of parenthood with unwavering dedication and love. His legacy lives on through the cherished memories and values he imparted to his daughter.

Harold had a zest for life and an infectious enthusiasm for activities that brought people together. His interests ranged from the camaraderie of baseball games to the intricacies of classic cars and mechanics. A true sports enthusiast, he reveled in the thrill of hockey and basketball matches, finding joy in the shared excitement of competition.
