Obituary for Glenn Patrick Stewart
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Glenn Patrick Stewart announce his passing at the Peter Lougheed Centre, Calgary, AB on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at the age of 58. Glenn passed away peacefully surrounded by family and close friends. During his brief illness he showed the true meaning of courage, strength, and determination.
He was a loving father to Donovan and Phoenix who were his whole world. He leaves to mourn with loving memories, his brother Carl (Janet), Sisters Debbie Stewart (Andy), Sandra (Paul) Snook, Yvonne (Billy) Gosbee, Elaine (Ivan) Campbell, cousin Claudine Harnum, who was like a sister, many nieces and nephews, one great niece, two great nephews, Aunts & Uncles and an extended number of relatives and friends. He will especially be remembered by his best friend Vern McKinney, who was like a brother to him. Glenn was predeceased by parents, Alphonsus and Rose (Moores) Stewart.
Glenn was born and raised in Stephenville, NL. He moved to Calgary, AB in the early 90’s and this is the place he called home. His love for his family was beyond measure. He was a loyal friend to all that knew him, and he had a heart of gold. He was known for his quick wit and humor. He had a love for sports, and he was an avid curler back in the day of which he was awarded many trophies.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the Nursing staff and Physicians/Surgeons of the Peter Lougheed Centre who cared for Glenn.
Following his wishes, cremation has taken place and a service and celebration of life will take place, at a later time in Stephenville, NL.
