Gladys Brown
June 4th, 1933 - Monday, October 23rd, 2023

Gladys Rose Brown passed away peacefully on October 23, 2023.
She is survived by her 4 children, Edna, Kathy, Carol, and Gwendolyn; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers Fred (Ruth), Edwin; sister Janet; numerous nieces and nephews, in particular Johnathan and Tina, whom she relied heavily on for the past several years.

She now joins her daughters Deborah and Patricia, brother Allen, Sister Marilyn, Dad Chief Jim Koe, and Mother Vivian Koe.

Gladys was born in Aklavik N.W.T on June 4th, 1933, and spent most of her adult years in Edmonton and Calgary.
Gladys was a consultant for the Cultural and Elder Teachings of Indigenous peoples. She was also passionate about her work with Native Alcoholism Services. Gladys was an avid crafter and was happiest when she was beading, sewing, and crocheting.

Thank you to the amazing staff on the 5th floor (Louise) at Walden Heights Aged Care, who helped care for Gladys in the final years of her life.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
