Obituary for Geraldine May Morris (Hamilton)
Geraldine (Gerry) May Morris (nee Hamilton) passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 2, 2023, in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 89 after a life very well lived.
Gerry was born on May 19, 1934, in Ottawa, Ontario. At the age of 19 Gerry married the love of her life, Bob Morris, and moved west to Edmonton, where they started a family. Gerry was a proud wife, and mother of two young active kids. Bob had a professional opportunity that required he relocate his family, so Gerry packed up the kids and moved to Calgary, where they remained for the rest of their lives.
Gerry was a devoted wife, mother, homemaker, and grandmother. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings, Sunday dinners, and she was particularly fond of all things Christmas. She loved to putter in her garden and tend to her flowers. Gerry was a member of St. Barnabas Anglican Church, and volunteered her time to the Altar Guild.
Geraldine and Bob loved to see the world, and traveled extensively with some of her favourite places being Maui, Banff, and Shuswap Lake.
Gerry is predeceased by her husband, Bob, of 67 years, and is survived, and will be sadly missed, by her children Wayne (Kathy), and Vickie (Doug); her four grandchildren; and her great-grand children.
