Obituary for Geraldine Brenda Hill
October 5, 1951 – January 2, 2021
It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected death of our mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend Jerry. She leaves to mourn her son Chris (Cari) Hargreaves and daughter Tara Hargreaves and her 4 grandchildren Kyana, Lauren, Sarah and Chloe. She is predeceased by her eldest son Kerry. His family Suzanne, Lauren and Sarah will miss her very much.
Jerry was the kindest and sweetest soul and touched the lives of all that were lucky enough to have met her – especially her granddaughter Kyana – they shared a bond like no other. Kyana and her sister Chloe will miss their grandma very much.
Jerry was born in Calgary on October 5, 1951 the youngest child to Jerome and Audrey Hill. She will be missed by her sister Bev (Harvey) Lunan, sister Marilyn Knock, brother Gib (Diane) Hill and brother Ron (Sue) Hill as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She moved to Red Deer in 1974 and worked in the optical industry. After 15 years Jerry’s Calgary roots called her home when she came back to Calgary in 1990. She started working for Dr Derek Gaume at Calgary Optometry Centre and went with him when he started his own practice Focus West Optometry. Working for Derek for 30 years, she became a huge part of the hearts of every patient, sales rep and staff member that were lucky enough to meet her
