BARNHARDT, Fredwrick Allan
Fred Barnhardt, - a dedicated son, father, uncle, and friend - passed away at the age of 55 on February 10, 2023 at Calgary, Alberta. Fred will be lovingly remembered by his ex-wife Stephanie; daughters Jayden and Rae; father Alfred; sister Rose; brothers James, Kevin and John; nieces Ann, Donna and Cristina; nephews Mitchell, Marcus and Genaro. Fred is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews. Fred was predeceased by his mother Margaret Snider; sister Tina Mowbray; and brother Mark Collingridge.
Fred was born in Toronto, Ontario, to Alfred and Margaret on March 8, 1967. He spent time in B.C. and Ontario but called Alberta his home. Fred loved the outdoors and the mountains. The Town of Banff holds many special memories in Fred’s heart.
Through the years, Fred enjoyed numerous activities with his family and friends - including camping, family BBQ’s, tinkering in the garage, 4x4’ing with friends, playing a game of pool, watching a good movie, hanging out at the river with his dogs and traveling. He loved music and especially enjoyed live performances. Fred’s favorite past times will affectionately be remembered by everyone who loved him. Fred’s contagious smile and laughter will forever remain in our hearts.
A Memorial Service will be held at Choice Memorial (105-4715 13 Street NE) on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at 10:30 am. A celebration of his life will follow at The Canadian Brewhouse (425 36 Street NE) at 11:45 am.
