Obituary for Erin Fraser Forsythe

Erin Fraser Forsythe

Erin Forsythe was the loving wife of Tyler, mother to two boys, Blaise, and Finnian whom she was so proud of. Erin also had a sister, Jessica and stepmother Linda whom she also cared for dearly.

Erin was first and foremost a mom, and a partner. Her boys were her world, and she was also theirs. Erin loved to travel with her family. She dragged her boys along with her on many adventures, exploring parts of Central America, and Asia, backpacks strapped on, and bus tickets in hand.

Erin worked many jobs, but the two that stand out was her time at Blame Betty, a retail store on 17th Avenue, and the Calgary Drop In Centre, where she worked as an Adult Care Worker. Many of Erin’s closest friends would come from working at these places

In late 2020, Erin was diagnosed with MS. Refusing to let it get her down, Erin started hiking as soon as she was able. Erin loved spending her days exploring our mountains, and rivers. In the spring of 2022 Erin decided to head out and hike the Appalachian Trail. There she made many new friends, her new “trail family” as she called them

On her return, Erin and Tyler decided to get a new puppy, and named him Dennis. Erin and Dennis became inseparable. You would see her hiking all through the mountains, and the city with her new shaggy companion.

Sadly, Erin passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. She was a unique, and incredible soul, who was loved almost immediately by everyone she met. Our hearts are broken. We love you Erin
