Edgar Allan Ellis of Calgary, Alberta, passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital, Calgary on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at the age of 78 years.

He was the loving husband of Virginia (Kelly); father of Greg (Crystal) and Cheryl Griffin (Al), AB; grandfather of Tianna, Westley, Spencer and Parker; brother of Barry Ellis, PEI and Ralph Ellis (Fay), NB; and brother-in-law of Gerry Kelly (Maureen), ON; Eugene Kelly (Winnie), ON and Colin Kelly (Anne), ON. He was predeceased by his sister, Jean (Malcom) Cogswell, QC; sister-in-law, Janet and Lloyd Gallant, PEI; brother-in-law, Brian Kelly (survived by Marie), PEI; Barry Kelly (survived by Guelda) and his parents, Athol and Geraldine (Carruthers), PEI.

Born in O’Leary, PEI. Allan spent his career in the medical field; working for the provincial laboratory, and Queen Elizabeth Hospital. In his retirement he enjoyed spending time with family, barbequing and travelling.

As per Allan’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Cremation performed under the care and direction, of Choice Memorial Funeral Services, Rocky View, Alberta.
