Obituary for Flora Elizabeth Doraine

Our beloved Doraine Elizabeth Neale passed peacefully on Monday, November 7th, 2022, at the George Boyack Care Facility at the age of 84.

Doraine was born March 8th, 1938 at Crescent Lake Saskatchewan, daughter of Marguerite Ann and Alexander Sandy Perreault.

She is predeceased by her parents, three sisters: Theresa Perreault (in infancy), Mary Luhtala and Stella Gray. Brothers Victor Perrault and Laurence Perreault

Survived by her only child, Cynthia Singer (Barry); five grandchildren, Robin Loewen (Theodore), Ryan Singer (Taysha), Joe Sleiman (Marlo), Shyla Mueller (Dana), Dayton Nielsen (Bradley); five great grandchildren, Akren Loewen, Breanne Loewen, Kierstyn Griedanus, Kerrigan Singer and Ridley Singer. Two sisters Mary Rose Hughes (Bernie) and Cecelia Waybrant (Steve). Many nieces and nephews who were dear to her.

Doriane was a born-again Christian and was very active in the churches she attended. She would travel across provinces to answer questions people had about the God she served. She was proud of her rich Metis heritage and traveled far distances to be a supporting member of her culture.

She was a versatile lady ahead of her time who had many different interests and occupations in her lifetime. Her dream as a teenager was to join the air force but than met her husband and started her family. She worked at the Native Alcohol council and as a court worker in her early years. Enjoyed her time working for the R.C.M.P. and in later life property management until she retired.

She was always on the move hiking, traveling, and seeking out new places and experience whenever possible. She lived in several provinces including a short time in Hay River N.W.T. Living in Banff was a high light, but her favorite place was the west coast. She loved to be near the ocean and enjoy the sea air.

She touched the hearts of many and loved the people she meet throughout her life.

The family welcomes all who would like to attend in the celebration of this incredible woman’s life. Thank you for your support and condolences.
