DEREK JAMES MCARTHUR
August 14, 1945 - April 11, 2024
Derek McArthur passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at the Clifton House in Calgary, AB at the age of 78 years.
Derek is survived by his daughters, Barb (Jeff) McTavish of Calgary, AB and Rachelle Scharf (Kevin Herrington) of Chestermere, AB; grandson, Grayson; and sister, Janet Stelter of Red Deer. He was predeceased by his wife of 44 years, Ruth McArthur; his parents, Karen and James McArthur; and his granddaughter, Amanda Scharf.
Derek worked for many years for the City of Calgary, Sanitation Department. He enjoyed spending time taking trips to Vegas with Ruth. He also enjoyed going to Cash Casino as the staff knew him and always treated him well.
