Charles “Charlie” Chamberland
August 9, 1944 – February 7, 2023
Charlie Chamberland, beloved husband of Marriann passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at the age of 78 years. He was the loving father of Anna Chamberland (Adam) and Liza Proulx (Ryan) of Calgary, Alberta. Charlie will also be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Kahlan, Oliver and Alaster Barr; siblings, Lillian, Leo (Martha), Florence, Eddie, Ronnie (Heidi) and Danny as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Jeanne and Joseph; brothers, Rudy, Tony, Vic and Al; sisters, Anita, Helen and Annette and his grandson, Wyatt.
Charlie was a hardworking man, but his family always came first; whether that meant getting home early to go camping and fishing with them, for the weekend or hours long bike rides after supper with his girls. After some health issues, he and Marriann moved to Calgary in 2019 to be closer to their daughters and grandkids. His grandchildren were the apples of his eye and he could often be found playing in the backyard with them and his beloved dog, Baby. Anyone who he met got a nickname and whether you were three or thirty, that was your name forever.
