Catherine “Cathy” Ann Majeau
December 9, 1946 - November 13, 2023
Cathy Majeau (nee MacInnis) of Calgary, Alberta passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023, at Agecare Bowcrest at the age of 76 years old. A joint Funeral Service and Mass will be held in the spring for both her and her recently passed husband, Yvon, who will be returned to Montreal as per their wishes.
Cathy is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Daniel) Anthony and Tina (Michael) Loewen; granddaughters, Angelika Anthony, Jacqueline and Katie Loewen; siblings, John MacInnis, Patricia Pate, Rita Gensorek and Ron MacInnis; as well their spouses and families and a long list of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Yvon, in February of this year; parents, John and Frances MacInnis; brothers, Joe, Ray and Steve MacInnis; sisters, Margaret Eden, Doris Lackner and Lillian MacInnis, and grandson, Aaron Anthony.
Cathy was born in Halifax and grew up in Rouyn Noranda, Quebec. She met her husband in Montreal, where she attended nursing college and moved out west with her young family. She was a nurse for 50 years and made beautiful handmade crafts.
