Carolina Ammirati of Calgary passed away peacefully on Monday, January 30, 2023, at the age of 88 with her loving daughters by her side. Carolina was born in Castelsilano, Italy on March 3, 1934. She married Giovanni Ammirati in 1958 in Calgary. Together, they started a beautiful family.
Carolina is survived by her loving daughters, Isabella (Pasquale) Barile, Maria Dolomont (Greg Johnson) and Rosanna Smith (Kevin Thompson); and was loving Nanna to Nina, Nick, Liana Barile (Marcel Galaszkiewicz) and Carla Dolomont (Scott Lamoreaux).
A loving mother and homemaker, Carolina was a remarkable cook who enjoyed preparing meals for her family and keeping the house in pristine condition (just the way she liked it). She was more than happy to be a stay-at-home mom and raise her little girls into the loving and caring women they are today.
Carolina was very active throughout her life, whether that be exercising at her favourite gym, Spa Lady, or going for a walk everyday outside. When Carolina was faced with obstacles, she tackled them with the utmost determination and unmatched perseverance. Carolina will stay in our hearts forever.
The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Age Care Glenmore and all others for their love and support over the years.
