Obituary for Blondina (Blondie) Magdalena Senger

SENGER, Blondina Magdalena (Blondie)
November 23, 1923 - Allan, Saskatchewan
November 12, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Blondina Magdalena Senger (Blondie). Blondie passed away peacefully, on November 12, 2019 at the age of 95, at Mayfair Care Centre in Calgary, Alberta, surrounded by the love of members of her family who were present at her passing.

Blondie was born in Allan, Saskatchewan where she met Andrew Senger and moved to Saskatoon where she and Andrew spent all of their time building a good life for each other and caring for their 6 children. Sometime after Blondie’s husband (Andrew) passed away, Blondie moved to Calgary to be with some of her children, where she spent the last 25 or more years of her life in the comfort and care of her loving family.

Blondie’s family was by far the most important thing in her life, but Blondie was always ready for a game of cards. If she wasn’t at home, you could find her at a friend’s or family members house playing cards. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her family and friends.
Blondie is lovingly survived by: daughters; Sylvia and Elaine; sons; Edwin, Ronald and Darryl; thirteen grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren; sister Barbara; half brothers; Jack and Jim; half sisters; Irene and Rosemary; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
Blondie was predeceased by her husband Andrew; son Ervin; sister, Annie and brothers; Leo, Peter, Wendlen and Edwin.

The family would like to thank all of the wonderful staff at the Mayfair Care Centre, in Calgary, for all the care and compassion they provided Blondie over the past few months.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. To view and share condolences, please visit www.choicememorial.com.
