It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Beverley, AKA Bev or McDonald at the age of 86 years.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lois; children, Cara (Brad), Bryan (Ronelle), and Cindy; grandchildren, Courtney, Braeden, Tevin, and Damon; sisters, Deborah, Sandra (Jack Stephenson); brothers, Dr. Cameron Brothers (Gloria), and Terry Brothers; sisters-in-law, Linda Brothers, Marjorie Brothers, Geraldine Brothers, Shirley Hill and Marie Dorrington of Montreal; brother-in-law, Eugene Moss, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was born into a family of 12 siblings in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia to parents William and Christine Brothers. He is pre-deceased by brothers, Dr. Carl Brothers, William, Dr. Alison Brothers, Garfield, George, Murray, and sisters Marion and Lillian.
Over the years, Bev had a strong sales and marketing career in the home improvement industry running his own successful business in Winnipeg, BM Brothers Ltd. Upon moving to Calgary, he ran affordable Exteriors selling siding and roofing, as well as other home improvement products. Bev had a green thumb and was passionate about yard work and gardening. He would often be found tapping his toes to blues and jazz with a little bit of country. Bev loved his children and grandchildren, encouraging, guiding, and inspiring them to achieve success.
