Audrey Kathleen McEwen
January 4, 1940 – January 13, 2024
Audrey Kathleen McEwen (née Bentley), of Calgary, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2024, at the Rockyview General Hospital.
Audrey was born and grew up in Montreal, where she obtained her nursing degree and started her career. She lived in Edmonton, Apache Junction Arizona, Peachland and most recently Calgary, but her fondest memories were of her retirement years with her husband Bud, where they spent time spent at Pigeon Lake, Arizona and Peachland. She loved visiting family, spending time with her nieces and nephews, and watching her grandsons play hockey. We will all miss her hugs.
She is survived by her brothers, Bob (Ruth) Bentley, Donald (Carol) Bentley, Pat (Judy) Bentley; nieces and nephews, Cori, Trisha, Scott, Kathy, Andrew, Karen, David, Steven, Derrick and their families; as well as her step-sons, Brett McEwen and Tom (Veena) McEwen; and her grandsons, Nolan and Graham. She is predeceased by her parents, Gordon and Molly, and her beloved husband, Bud.
As per Audrey’s wishes, a celebration of life will occur at a later time when the weather is much warmer. Audrey was a great friend to so many, and her vivacious laugh will be missed by all who loved her.
