Obituary for Arnold William Brown

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father Arnold William Brown. Dad passed peacefully surround by loved ones on Sunday November 13, 2022 - the birthday of one of his most favorite woman Aunt Shirley, whom we are certain was there to help guide dad home.

He was survived by his three children, Devin (Mandy) Brown, Adam Brown and Matthew Brown as well his many grandchildren, Brenden Hutter-Brown (Shay), Kaitee (Tyler) Victoria Brown (Robert), Hailee Stubbs (Devon), Ethan Stubbs, Connor Brown, Ryder Brown and Dani Brown; great grandchildren, Carter, Antonio, Jordan, and Athena; siblings, Linda Harris (Morris), Brenda Howatson (John), Jim Brown (Libby), and Jeffery Brown Waugh (Jamie). He was predeceased by his grandparents, Mildred Francis Brown and Archibald Douglas Brown who raised him as a child and his brother, Rick Brown.

Family meant everything to dad, but there was a piece of his heart that always and forever belonged in the big country. He spent many of his days out there hunting, doing dog trials, taking pictures of nature, or just tinkering around the property.

Dad was a mechanic by trade. He loved sharing his knowledge of vehicles even if some of it was outdated and he saved us all more than once from our brokendown cars.

Dad was very social but quiet in a group. He preferred to have his conversations one on one. He was always recalling stories from moments of his past, and oh so many stories he had to tell! In his younger years dad was a leader with the scouts with which he received the highest honour of the Queen Scout Award. He was a competitive gymnast and even qualified to take part in the olympics. His dogs were his biggest companions in life. He spent so many years training and trialing them. He made the most of his hand and unknowingly made great impact in people’s hearts. He had a huge heart, he loved deep. He was one of the most giving and selfless people we knew.

Dad, your passing was too soon, but we are grateful to have had the chance to say good. Until we meet again, we hope you know now how deeply you were loved by so many. Rest easy dad. We love you.

No Funeral Service at this time. A Celebration of Arnold’s Life will be held this summer, date yet to be determined. To view and share photos, condolences and stories of Arnold please visit www.choicememorial.com.
