With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Annie Victoria Yasman (nee Power), who left us peacefully on Thursday, February 22, 2024, enveloped by the love of her family. Born on the picturesque Bell Island, NF, to Kathleen and Richard Power, Ann's journey from her roots in Newfoundland to making a life in Alberta speaks volumes of her adventurous spirit.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Vern; her parents, Kathleen and Richard; siblings, Walter, Brian, and Marilyn; and grandson-in-law, Aaron. Ann's memory will be honored and kept alive by her daughters, Heather Taylor, Karen (Darren) Smilar, and Kelly (Allen) Hansen; son-in-law, Wayne Taylor; grandchildren, Donna-Lynn Ramler and Jordan Taylor; great-grandchildren, Connor and Evyn; and siblings, Eleanor, Clara, Rose, Gerald, and Ferg.
Ann worked as an administrative professional and she found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as playing cards and sharing a laugh with family and friends. These moments, filled with fun and love, are cherished memories that will continue to bring smiles and warmth to all who were fortunate to share them with her.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Calgary, in memory of Ann's giving nature.
Ann's passing is a profound loss to her family and friends, but her legacy of strength, love, and laughter will continue to inspire and comfort those who were fortunate to know her.
