Obituary for Alyssa Vicki-Mae Richards
Alyssa Vicki-Mae Richards born April 3rd 1993, passed away suddenly on Wednesday July 28th 2022 in Calgary AB, after being hit by a drunk driver while doing what she loved; skateboarding.
Alyssa is survived by her mother Stacey and step-dad Richard McKenna of Carbon, Alberta; her favourite person on earth her son Sebastian Alfaro and his father Joe Alfaro; sister Dani (Billy) Godkin and nieces Alissa and Paislee of Milo, AB; brothers Addison Richards of Hamilton, ON and Brad McKenna of Chilliwack BC; grandmother Ora Eccles of Gull Lake AB; her father Garry Richards of Nova Scotia; as well as numerous aunts and uncles.
Alyssa was a free spirit who enjoyed spending her time with her son Sebastian, hiking in the mountains, skateboarding or at a tattoo parlor. She was very creative and a really good artist. She had a silly sense of humor that people (especially her mother) enjoyed immensely. She was such a beautiful person inside and out. She will be missed so completely by all of us but especially by her son.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be gratefully accepted that will be used toward a trust fund for Sebastian. A Go Fund Me Campaign has been set up and can be accessed through this link.
