Obituary for William Joseph Taylor

William (Bill) Joseph Taylor
April 24, 1941 to November 12, 2017

Bill Taylor passed away at the Foothills Medical Centre after an extended battle with bladder cancer. Bill’s wife Brenwyn Cooley passed away 4 days later on November 16, 2017.

Bill entered the Royal Canadian Airforce 1958 and was a member until 1968. While in the Airforce he was involved in the initial stages of Information Technology. When he left the Airforce, he continued in the field as a federal and provincial (Alberta) employee.

Bill is survived by his daughters Deborah (Ron) and Tracey, granddaughter Janelle, sisters Val (Cookie) and Carol and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Valeria, brothers Fred and Richard and nephew Scott.

Bill had a love for knowledge and read extensively, he also enjoyed exploring his artistic side by sculpting, painting and writing.

Bill and Brenwyn enjoyed life together travelling and experiencing many adventures and were able to cross many items off their bucket lists. They celebrated their 30th anniversary in May and travelled to Italy with niece Emily Cooley.

As per their wishes there will not be a Funeral Service, but a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Thank you to the medical staff who cared for both Bill and Brenwyn during their battles and a special thank you to the Cooley family and our father and stepmother’s friends for all they did for Bill and Brenwyn during their battles.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill’s memory to any of the listed charities or other charity of your choosing.
