McIvor, Robert (Bob)
On Monday, February 11, 2019, Robert (Bob) McIvor passed away surrounded by his loving family at the age of 87. Bob was born on July 6, 1931 in Calgary, Alberta. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 63 years, Dale. The proud father of children Jack, Kerry Ann (Brian), and James (Laura). His grandsons Chris (Sarah) and Daniel (Benazir) brought him so much joy and the apples of his eye were his great-grandchildren. Carter and Emilia.
Bob lived a full life. He retired from AGT at the age of 55 and enjoyed many years of golf as a member of the Turner Valley Golf course with his wife Dale. They also enjoyed many golfing trips to the states, travel to Barbados and Mexico. He was an avid gardener and spent countless hours creating flowerbeds, a pond with a waterfall and box gardens for vegetables. His green thumb produced countless varieties of tomatoes over the years. He also enjoyed the many birds that visited the birdhouses he collected and scattered throughout the garden.
Bob was a devoted family man and enjoyed becoming not only father and a grandfather but also a great-grandfather. He was so very proud of his family and looked forward to family gatherings. The time he spent with his great-grandchildren Carter and Emilia brought him such joy.

Please join us in celebrating the life of Robert Emmet McIvor at Mimo Restaurant, 4909 17 Avenue SE, Calgary, AB on Saturday, July 6, 2019 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Bob did not wish to be mourned. Please join us for an afternoon of sharing memories, laughter and a toast to a life well lived. A light buffet of finger foods will be served.
