Obituary for Lorne Terry Saruk
SARUK, Lorne Terry
October 16, 1948 ~ December 24, 2018
It is with heavy hearts that the Saruk family announces the passing of a dear husband, cherished father and beloved Gidi. Lorne passed away peacefully on Monday, December 24, 2018 at the age of 70.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 49 years, Iris ; son, Vern (spouse, Ally and children, Jayden, Mikenna and Charlee); daughter, Corinne Puttick (and children, Kiara, Kaeden and Kyleigh); son, Kevin (spouse, Natalie and children, Rachel and Spencer); and son, Warren; brother, Elvin Saruk (Grace Fedak); sister, Lydia Saruk; nieces, Caitlin Saruk and April McCloud (spouse, Sam and children, Addison and Lucas); as well as many other extended family and friends. Lorne is predeceased by his father, Tom Saruk in 1972; mother, Mildred Littman (nee Proskiw) in 2010 and stepfather, Elvin Littman in 2008.
Lorne will be forever missed by all that knew him, saying good bye isn’t easy but he will be remembered for his sense of humor and very giving heart. Lorne was a hard worker who could fix just about anything. He had a passion for gardening and it gave him so much joy to share his vegetables with all his family and friends. He loved his fishing, especially his most recent fishing trips with the boys. Lorne loved family gatherings and he loved watching hockey. He especially loved his Edmonton Oilers!
