Walter Kowal
February 4th, 1929 - November 19th, 2018

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Walter Kowal at the age of 89 years. He will be deeply missed by his wife Josephine; daughter Diane (Rick) and son John (Jayne). He also leaves behind 4 grandchildren (Dan, Leah, Alex and Tyler); two great-grandchildren (Lincoln and Madison); two brothers Joe (Lil) and John (Lois).

Dad grew up in hard times but had a soft and kind heart.
He believed in an honest days work and he lived that every day.
He was tough but fair with a strong will and convictions, and was generous to a fault.
He instilled within us the meaning of work, of being true to yourself, and standing up for what you believe in.
He was a great role model to not just his family but to many...he was one of the good guys.
His was a life well lived.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gerard's Catholic Church (8944 Elbow Drive SW) on Friday, November 23, 2018 at 11:00 am. Graveside Service to follow at Rocky View Garden of Peace Cemetery.
