Condolence: My condolences to all the family. I know Joan will be missed very much. Although I have not been in the family for a while I would like to say I have many pleasant memories of Joan, Mike and the girls while our children were growing up together. Joan's potato salad was the best in the world and she made great homemade bread and parmesan cheese buns. Rest in peace Joan, you are fondly remembered.

Condolence: You have been our inspiration and mentor for a long time. Even when we couldn't beat the guys at cards. Your smile and love for Mike. Wonderful holidays we had. The camping trips with the girls to numerous to count. Always there to help and teach your self tought crochet blankets dollies etc. We can remember so well all your meals you have put on despite those long hours at the hospital. Always put everyone ahead of yourself. We will always remember your ever present smile and laughter.

Always the light of the party, kind hearted, and always smiling. When Joan and Mike got married mom and dad gave them a picture of Jesus, Joan returned it to mom a few weeks ago, she will pass it on. Although it could be years between visits, when we did get together, it was as if nothing had changed – Joan always had a heartfelt presence. She was selfless and generous in her spirit. What a beautiful lady! I could tell she adored having you as her husband, Mike and, together, to have Nikki, Dana and Carrie, along with your grandchildren. All of us who have been blessed with being a part of Joan’s life – big or small – that has been something special. Thank you for your gift, Joan.

Condolence: It was a pleasure having known Joan for the time that I have. We weren’t close in proximity, but I felt we could always re-connect quickly when we came out West or vice-versa. I could not have asked for a better mother-in-law. She is one of the few people that had a contagious smile. Joan was a selfless person that everyone is better for having known.
