Gerry Boyle - I miss him

Gerry was a great man and I miss him. We met a couple of years ago at the Tom Baker when we were both being treated for throat cancer. The connection was instant and we enjoyed a number of laughs sitting in the Day Room at Tom Baker getting hydration while waiting for radiation. I soon learned why we got on so well when we discovered that we were both from Verdun. A natural bond that was very comforting indeed. Even more of a coincidence is that I went to school with two of Gerrys brothers and of course played with and against them in the iconic Wackers ball hockey league. Gerry was a kind soul and great friend who stuck by me when I needed him. Especially when I learned that I had developed a new tumour and was heading back into treatment. I miss him tremendously and Ill never forget him . Stay strong Louise! Love from Norm and Chita
