Gerrit Pinnell
March 29th, 1949 - September 16th, 2018

Gerrit George Pinnell, 69, passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018 in Calgary, Alberta after his battle with leukemia. He was born March 29, 1949 to Geertruida (Trudy) Smit and Joseph Lamoureux. On September 18, 1971 he married Carol Prystupa in Woodlands, Manitoba. Gerrit enjoyed his family, applauding during movies, drawing, and telling bad jokes.

He is survived by his wife Carol, his daughter Trudy-Anne MacGregor; 2 grandchildren Danica and Charlotte, his daughter Fiona (Erik) Mueller-Thode; 2 grandchildren Evan and Elli, his son Gerrit-Dean Pinnell; 1 grandchild Grace, his daughter-in-law Gillian Pinnell; 3 grandchildren Sydney, Gabriel and Melina, his sister Roma Pinnell; nephew Brook and niece Taylor, his bother Paul Pinnell; niece Crystal Bergthorson, as well as many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Trudy and Robert Pinnell, his father Joseph, and his son Sean Pinnell.

A time of gathering will be held in the spring in Woodlands, Manitoba. Celebration details will be provided in the New Year.
