Obituary for Linda Kristen Torunski

Linda Kristen Torunski
TORUNSKI, Linda Kristen
March 17th, 1952 - July 31st, 2018

Peacefully at Oilfields General Hospital in Black Diamond, Alberta on July 31, 2018 at the age of 66, Linda lost her nearly five-year long, very courageous and often inspirational battle with cancer.

Dedicated animal-lover, enthusiastic traveller and avid gardener, Linda lived her life to the fullest and will be sorely missed. Loving spouse of Jane Snider; cherished daughter to the late Henry Torunski and Lola (Landry) Torunski; adoring sister to Eric and wife Lori; and dearest aunt to Bella and Lukas. Linda’s passing is also a tremendous loss in the community of Bragg Creek, Alberta and beyond. In particular, she will be remembered for her sense of humour and her compassion for others. She was a unique and loving individual who positively impacted those around her – a gentle soul that was generous with her time. Linda always faced life’s challenges with mettle and was never afraid to get back up and try again. We will miss her with all our hearts.

Service to be held on Sunday, August 5, 2018 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Bragg Creek Community Centre, 23 White Avenue, Bragg Creek. Light refreshments and assorted snacks will be served with the kind help of the Bragg Creek Ladies Auxiliary.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your favourite animal rescue or cancer-fighting charity.

A heartfelt thank you to our close friends (you know who you are) during our journey this past half-decade. The power of your love and support has been immeasurable. Also special mention to the nursing staff in Black Diamond and Dr. Sara Wiesenberg for their exceptional care.
