Eileen Vivien Shouldice quietly passed away at the age of 91 in Calgary, Alberta on August 4, 2018. She was born to E.A. (Albert) and Blanche Nelson on October 4, 1926 in Edmonton Alberta. As a child growing up near Mayerthorpe she rode a horse to a one room school house. She graduated with a degree in Home Economics from University of Alberta at Edmonton. There she met her husband David Hill Shouldice and they were married on October 15, 1949. They raised their family together and enjoyed postings in Calgary, Edmonton, The Hague, Houston and Denver working in the oil patch for Shell Canada. Eileen was a dedicated fan of her Eskimos, Broncos and Cubs (who she finally got to see win the World Series).

Eileen will be remembered forever by her daughter Susan Lingl (Gerry) of Maple Ridge, her son Jim (Danielle) of Dawson City, her son David (Jan) of Calgary and her son Ken (Laura) of Firestone, Colorado. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David (1991), her siblings Ruth Tanner and Allan Nelson and an infant grandson, Davy.
