Obituary for Debra "Debbie" Anne Denman

Debra "Debbie" Anne Denman
Debra "Debbie" Denman
June 12th, 1956 - June 18th, 2018

Our dear friend Debbie passed way peacefully on June 18, 2018... feisty til her last breathe and loved by more people than she would ever have imagined.

Debra Anne Denman was the beloved daughter of the late Raymond and Anna Denman, and she is survived by her brother Rick (Karen), her siblings-from-different-mothers Pam, Terry, Tracy and August, her adored nephew and niece Chase and Alicia, and she was totally wrapped up in the new great-niece Maysa! She holds a big place in her friend Donita's heart, and her friend Elizabeth was a truly blessed 'new' gift in Debbie's life.

Deb was born in Montreal, but she never really showed her French roots unless she cursed! Her move to Calgary in the 80's opened up some great adventures for a girl looking for something new - she excelled at everything she tried her hand at, and even with a couple of hiccups she was always moving forward... She finally found her ground and she never looked back...

Debbie was a valued employee for over 25 years at Metro Ford in Calgary... She worked her way up from her first detailing gig in the reconditioning department (probably on a Ford Fiesta or the like!!) to becoming a service advisor... a position that gathered her a league of fans because of her commitment to the customer. She was a true 'policy-be-damned' girl - she was an advocate for her customers and was admired by them, but she was equally admired by the company she served. She always found the balance ... Debbie was, above all things, FAIR. In everything...

Debbie had health struggles that most of us could never imagine, but not one among us can ever recall a day where she complained. The worst we would hear would be that 'maybe tomorrow will be better'... She was so grateful for every breathe she took.

Her family wants to thank Dr. Patricia Bryden for the years of care she showed Debbie, over and above without a doubt.

Debbie was the best friend any one of us could ever ask for. She loved her friends, she would give everything she had to help them in the troubled times, she rocked us with humour in all of the times, and every one of us knew how she felt about us.

A truly lovely soul.

Peace be with you, Deb. xo

We wish to invite all of Deb's friends, co-workers and customers to spend an afternoon in celebration of her adventurous, fun-loving, but too-damn-short life...

Please join us on August 12, 2018 from 2-4 pm to share stories and memories of her time with us. We are celebrating at Pam's home in the Beltline; easy to find and lots of parking in the neighbourhood.
