Obituary for Cathy-Ann Eleanor Phillips

Cathy-Ann Eleanor Phillips
Phillips, Cathy-Ann Eleanor
1960-2018

It is with great sadness that we announce that Cathy-Ann Eleanor Phillips has passed away peacefully at the Peter Lougheed Centre in Calgary, Alberta on March 17, 2018 at the age of 57 after a battle with pneumonia.

Cathy-Ann was born on October 20, 1960 to Tom and Edie Phillips in Surrey, British Columbia and grew up in Hope, British Columbia. Despite the many challenges Cathy faced in her life she never felt sorry for herself and her attitude always remained positive. She loved all of her family and friends - always keeping tabs on everyone and was the connection between all of us. She truly was an amazing daughter, sister, Aunt and friend. She was passionate about animals and loved her dog and two cats dearly. Cathy also enjoyed painting as well as traveling and she lived in various places before settling down in Drumheller, Alberta.

Cathy-Ann is survived by her companion of 37 years; Vic Tremblay, her two sisters; Suzan Lagrove (Cordell) and Leslie Phillips (Ron), her brother; Thomas (Skip) Phillips (Dayna), nieces; Angel, Brenda, Jessika (Jason), nephews; John Jr., Jesse, David, Derek, and Tyler (Kenzie) as well as her good friends; Dorothy, Fran and everyone at The Old Grouch in Drumheller, Alberta.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Edie Phillips and her brother John Farquhar.

You will be missed tremendously Cathy (Sasafrass) by all who knew and loved you.

A celebration of life will be held at The Old Grouch (87 Bridge Street, Drumheller, Alberta) on Saturday, April 28, 2018 starting at 12:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers a donation to the Cancer Society in honor of Cathy would be appreciated.

A sincere thank-you to all the staff involved with her care at the Peter Lougheed Centre.

All are welcome to visit http://www.choicememorial.com/ to stop by the Book of Memories set up in memory of our beloved Cathy-Ann. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Choice Memorial Cremation & Funeral Services (403) 277-7343.
