The family of Gene Wayne Gabert wish to share the sudden passing of our father, grandfather and brother on June 20, 2018 at the age of 75, in Calgary Alberta. He was called peacefully to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Gene is loving remembered by his son Trayr (Kari-Lynn) Gabert, daughter Trelaine (Wally) Robanske, and his grandson and best buddy Ethan Robanske.

Gene is also survived by his brothers Ryan (Carole) Gabert and Warren (Caroline) Gabert; his beloved sister Wendy (Riley) Clark; sisters-in-law Sandra (Gordon) Reay and Myrna (Bill) Sorenson; and many nieces and nephews. Gene is pre-deceased by his loving wife Mavis, his parents Eunice and Adolph Gabert, and his in-laws Archie and Bertha Malcolm.

A Celebration of Life and Love will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Bethany Lutheran Church (20577 Twp Road 550 Strathcona County). Cremation has taken place, with Interment at Bethany Lutheran Church Cemetery following the Service. Visitors are invited to share fellowship after interment, in the Church Fellowship Hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully accepted by Gene’s favourite charities: Bethany Lutheran Church and The MS Society of Edmonton.
