Linda Sheridan Barschel passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and caring staff at the Peter Lougheed Centre on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the age of 67. Linda was born in Lacombe, AB on July 31, 1947. Before her disability, she enjoyed running, dancing, reading and riding horses. Linda did not like to be idle, she was always moving. She enjoyed keeping a tidy house and when she wasn't cleaning, she was cooking and creating recipes. Linda was filled with much tenacity, and after her disability, she refused to slow down. She enjoyed being a landlord, and was loved by her tenants. To Linda, there was nothing in this world more important than her family. Linda will be missed by her husband James; children Lea (Thomas) Schmidt, William (Shannon) Barschel, Chris Barschel (Leanne Fiddler) and Charmaine Barschel; grandchildren Christopher Tomas "Neff" Barschel, Claire Barschel, Evan Barschel, Sarah Schmidt, Caeden Olson; and her dog Bilbo. Linda was a kind soul and will be missed by all who knew her. A Celebration of Linda's Life will be held at Choice Memorial (105-4715 13th Street NE) on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 1:00 pm.
